Fairview responded at about 10 AM on March 7th to a fatal car crash on Holly Springs Rd.

The driver of a Nissan Stanza, an 18-year-old male from Holly Springs, was killed when he was driving southbound on Holly Springs Road near Penny Road and reportedly overcorrected after running off the right side of the road and finally swerved into the opposing lane of traffic where he spun around and was struck by an oncoming Chevy minivan.

The driver and passenger of the minivan were rescued from the vehicle and transported to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not filed charges.
